Bryan L. Rishforth is the Founder and Managing Principal of R&R Global Partners, LLC, an international private investment firm which specializes in retail, commercial real estate, growth technology and franchise development.
Prior to launching a successful private investment and development firm, Mr. Rishforth led an exceptional career spanning 18 years at GE, GE Capital and Cerberus Capital Management. At GE he served in numerous senior executive management positions across its manufacturing, services, financing and insurance units, including roles as Global General Manager and Division Executive at GE Energy’s $2.3B Water division, where from 2003 through 2005 he led GE’s Water Services business through a dramatic 300% global expansion and launch of its international customized service agreement offering.
From 1999 until 2001, Rishforth served as the Chief Risk Manager of GE Aviation, a $12B division, where he led global underwriting, deal structuring and management of its $32B+ long-term aviation services portfolio. In 2001 he was tapped to lead the proposed merger and integration planning efforts of Honeywell’s aviation services unit, a $9B portfolio. Other significant roles held throughout his GE career included engineering, manufacturing, finance, internal audit, mergers and acquisitions and Six Sigma quality. Rishforth led business teams in Europe, Asia, Australia and numerous North American operations of GE Appliances, GE Plastics, GE Lighting, GE Energy, GE Aviation, GE Capital’s Employer’s Reinsurance and GE Insurance (Genworth), and GE Consumer (GE Money).
In 2005, Rishforth was recruited from GE to provide private equity operations management and buyout advisory services to Cerberus Capital Management, LP, an international investment fund in New York. He served as Senior Executive and Board Member across various Cerberus portfolio companies in North America, Europe and Asia though the Cerberus Operating and Advisory Company. Rishforth served as interim CEO/ Chief Restructuring Officer, Board Member, Vice-Chairman, and investor representative for numerous public and privately held companies. He led teams that implemented due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, IPOs and secondary offering activities in companies that included Air Canada (TSE:AC.B), Jazz Airlines (TSE:JAZ.UN), Debis AirFinance/AerCap (NYSE:AER), Sylvania Lighting International (SLI), amongst others.
Rishforth is a founding Board Member of TiE Philadelphia Chapter and Chair of its Charter Membership Committee. He has served as the Chairman of Graphite GTC, LLC, a disruptive and revolutionary ‘no code’ software development platform since 2017. Rishforth is an advisory board member and former Trustee and Board Member at Drexel University/College of Medicine (DUCOM) and the Philadelphia Health and Education Corporation (PHEC), where he served as Chair of the Audit Committee since 2009. He also served as Trustee & Board Member of Schuylkill Crossings Captive Insurance company (2011-2014). The previous four (4) years he was a Board Director at Air Canada/Jazz Air Holding, GP (TSX: JAZ.UN) and served as Chair of its Governance Committee, Chair of its Nominating Committee and as a member of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committees. He is a former Board Member of Sylvania Lighting International (SLI), Peguform Automotive, GMBH (Germany), Debis AirFinance and AeroTurbine (NYSE:AER) (aircraft financing, aircraft trading; parts and service) board advisor and Vice-Chairman of Global Motorsport Group (GMG, V-twin and metric motorcycle parts distribution). He has been a long time member of The Union League of Philadelphia, the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor, Benefactor of the A. J. Drexel Society, and served as key-note speaker and member of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) specializing in alternative financing. Mr. Rishforth is a Board member of the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation supporting after school programs for high risk inner city youth in the Philadelphia region . In 2015, he was nominated by the Planet Fitness (NYSE: PLNT) Executive Committee and subsequently was elected as Board member to the Planet Fitness Franchise Advisory Council (FAC). In 2018, Rishforth was elected by the FAC as Board Officer and Secretary, while continuing to serve on its Real Estate, Supply Chain and International Committee (Chair). Rishforth is an Electrical and Computer Engineering Eta Kappa Nu honors graduate from Drexel University and an alumnus of GE’s Executive Development, Corporate Audit Staff and Advanced Six Sigma programs (certified Black Belt and Master Black Belt). He resides with his wife and daughter in the Main Line area of Philadelphia, PA.
